I'm not completely opposed to selfies, but personally I would rather have a nice photo of myself that was taken by someone else, than just a picture of my face that I took myself. When I first saw the assignment I thought it was going to be embarrassing because I am not great at taking pictures of myself. After I completed the assignment I didn't feel as embarrassed because I think the selfies turned out pretty well. My favorite selfie from this photo set is the choice selfie because the shadows on my face from the blinds make my eyes stand out. My least favorite selfie is the close up selfie because I think it makes my face look a little weird because of the way I cropped it. I think I was pretty successful in my appropriation portrait because it looks like a photo. The only thing i don't like about it is that I couldn't get the right side of my face to blend in very well with the original photo, and I don't think it looks very good. In photoshop, I learned how to use the blur, smudge, and burn tools. I also became more comfortable with photoshop in general because I now know what most of the tools are and how I can alter a photo using options in the "image" tab.
