Reflection:

I feel like I spent a good amount of time selecting objects that I thought would make good photographs. I picked the wooden figure specifically because I thought it would make a good side shadow photograph, and then I picked the bottle because of its height and the pine cones for their texture. To make my subjects look interesting I put the wooden figure in different poses, including putting its arm around the bottle to make the two objects interact more. I liked the photos that I took in the bridge because I like the concrete floors and I think it made a good background. In most of the photos I took in the classroom there were items in the background like picture frames and they are distracting, so I wish I would have paid more attention to that. Of the images, my favorite is the bird’s eye view shot because I like the background and I like how I put the wooden object’s arm around the glass bottle. My least favorite photo is the silhouette because it didn’t turn out how I wanted it to and my editing didn’t make the object look like a silhouette. Moving forward I think I will pay more attention to what is in the background of my photos, which will improve my photos by keeping the focus on the subjects and not distracting objects in the background.
